Field Info
Our flying field is located 7 miles south of Montgomery on US331. Field Coordinates Are: Latitude 32°13'2.80"N
Longitude 86°17'16.62"W
Our field offers lots of parking, an 800' x 100 ' grass runway and a covered Pit Area. There are 4 flying stations for the safety of the pilots. along with a safety net behind the pilot stations for protection from the pit area. We also have several 4' by 8' work tables so we don't have to crouch on the ground to assemble and disassemble our aircraft.
We also have a solar powered battery charging station for all of the electric pilots.
Our landlord keeps cattle in several fields that are adjacent to our flying field. He moves the cattle from one field to another as required. Because of this, there are two gates located on the dirt road leading to our field. Depending on which field the cattle are located, the gates may be either open or closed. Both gates have signs stating the gate rules. In short, if the gate is closed, close it when you pass through. If the gate is open, leave it open. Sometimes one or the other of the two gates may be closed or open. Other times both gates may be open or closed. Make sure the gate(s) are securely latched if they are to be closed.
